NY times article "witch hunt" Mario Farinella

This article is very interesting because there is two very good sides to be on. You have the side of is it right for a policeman to have random checks? And the side of if it is wrong for a policeman to check without reason. Nicholas K. Peart is a young African man who has been checked by police numerous times for no apparent reason. I believe it is wrong for a policeman to check someone without cause because it first is illegal and second there invading someones space for something they did not do. It also is racist because the NYPD says that 84% of checks are African american or Latino meaning that cops are being social profiling towards them. I support Nicholas because no one should be stopped for being a certain color of skin.
