Supporting Details- The Hobbit is the main character in the story, but he does not want to go because he is afraid of change. The only reason that he goes is because he is peer pressured into doing it by 12 of his friends. On the journey they encounter dragons, spiders the size of bears, and even elves. characters such as Golem drop in every now and then, but are mainly not part of the plot line. Most of their conflicts are prevented by the hobbit. He does this by putting on a ring that makes him invisible.
