2)The general purpose of the book is for Eddie too look back at his life and realize that he wasn't a waste (like he tells himself).

5)So far I have really enjoyed this book. I like the Mitch Albom idea of having his character meet five people who have directly or indirectly affected his life. I am eager to find out if Eddie was able to save the girls from the falling cart or if his effort was futile.
