"Ms. Found in a bottle"

In this book we see the disaster of a ship becoming overtaken by a giant whirlpool in the middle of the ocean. If i was in this situation i would be very tremulous. Putting a note in a bottle is popular i believe because it makes the people who send it feel like they can send what ever they want. They can express their feelings in anyway which they feel led to. This message has to be expressed to the reader because the book is based upon it. "But little time will be left me to ponder upon my destiny."
