MS. Found In A Bottle

This story is about a sailor and his crew on a trip in the ocean that has been going on for an unfathomable amount of time. I can't even begin to imagine the monotony that begins with a sail around the world. The crew has been sailing since the year 18, which is one lousy way, in my opinion, to beguile and just sail around with water. After one of their usual days, they end up in a whirlpool and start to face the tempest at hand. They then survive and keep sailing after surviving. One of the many reasons why people find reading messages from a bottle ascertained is that no one really knows where or who it came from. One of the reasons why the message is very interesting is that you get to know the person that wrote it and that you find out what they have gone through and, usually, why they wrote the message in the first place. Overall, this story was very prolonged in my opinion, mainly because it kept on describing the same thing over and over again, but it kept my interest because of the manuscript found. So, in short, it was good.

"Although completely water-logged, yet, as her masts had gone by the board, she rose, after a minute, heavily from the sea, and staggering awhile beneath the immense pressure of the tempest, finally righted."

I chose this quote because one of my favorite parts of reading any story is reading and finding the reactions of the characters in what may be the most troublesome situation they face in their lifetime. This quote shows they emotion and the description of the main character when he and his crew face the whirlpool.
