Tell-Tale Heart
The thrilling tale kept me on the edge of my seat even the third time I was reading it. The Tell-Tale heart describes the conscience of a man slowly eating away at him. The narrator is being questioned about an old man's death when suddenly he begins to lose his mind, as he hears the old mans heartbeat from underneath him. "Yet the sound increased-and what could I do? It was a low, dull, quick sound-much such a sound as a watch makes when enveloped in cotton" said the Narrator. This story is similar to an episode of Sponge-Bob Squarepants where the main character Sponge-Bob hides something under the floor boards and all he can hear are squeaky boots getting louder and louder. Soon enough he had all he could take and confessed to where the item was the he had hid.

do you think that episode had this Poe story in mind?
ReplyDeleteYes, I do think that the episode was taken from the story.
