The Occupy Wall Street movement is a protest movement against social and economic inequality, greed, corruption, and exceeded government's influence by corporation. It started from September 17, 2011, and its slogan is "We are the 99%", which complains the government to make advantages to only 1% of the wealthy people. Its goal of the protests is economic justice, specifically, a "transaction tax" on international financial speculation. Their ultimate goal is to provide influences to other nations internationally too, not only changing national conversation. It fits the definition of civil disobedience because the Occupy Wall Street movement refused to obey the certain laws or governmental demands and rose up to against the government's unfair treatment, There was another famous civil disobedience protest in America, leaded by Martin Luther King Jr. who peacefully protested the American government which treated the black people and white people unfairly. By this method, the mess media spotlighted Martin Luther King Jr. and he became famous hot issue maker at that time. Through his movement, many living conditions and treatment for the black people got much better than before.
