Occupy Wall Street.
The Occupy Wall Street protest is literally a protest. It goes against that tax he government ha been trying to pass saying that the wealthy would gain more money than the poor, basically. The goals of this protest is to make sure that doesn't get passed. This led to many "internet memes", one known as the "We are the 1 Percent". Obviously, yes, this goes under the category of Civil Disobedience mainly because it's going against the government and everything they are trying to pursue. People are trying to get the point across that not everyone can afford things already, but then to impose something like this on the majority of the population is just wrong. One very good comparison to the Wall Street movement is the movement led by Martin Luther King Jr. He also tried going against the government in order for the rights of African Americans in the United States to be granted. The difference between then and now is that back then, when Luther Jr. was still alive, the laws governing the U.S. were different. Now everyone has equality, but not until that bill is shelved because, once again, people can't afford many things even now, but to impose something like this is inconceivable and will lead to nothing but the downfall of the economy because no one will be able to pay for anything.
