Reading for Pleasure

The book I chose to read is The Dark Half by Stephen King which was published in 1989. This book starts off very normally with a man and his wife talking to each other and generally focusing on People Magazine. From what I have heard though this book takes a turn for the worst and leaves you in angst. The hook in my point of view is when you discover that Thad is George Stark who is being described as, "Not a Very Nice Guy", in People Magazine.
Definitions
1. Smorgasbord - an extensive array of things, often food
2. Pithy - brief, forceful, and meaningful
3. Pungent -acutely distressful to feelings or mind
4. Adamant - very hard, difficult to cut
5 . Smarmy - unpleasantly suave

The book is starting off a little slow but I am very interested to see where it kicks off and the fear comes into play.
