the house of usher

In this novel, the house was very decrepit. it was falling apart and was full of old paintings. the narrator and Usher spend their time painting and talking about their past. Ushers sister died in her sleep one night and they put her to rest. the house was falling apart during the whole movie, and in the end it fell apart. "the luminousness of his eye had utterly gone out". this is my favorite quote because it shows how Usher had lost all meaning to live during the novel.
