The Fall of the House of Usher
In this story the house is a large creepy building that is starting to break down. The narrator and usher during this time stayed in the house and created music and read. The reason for the fall is because both Madeline and her brother are not wed and have no children meaning the legacy is ending and so is the house. Several days after the narrator arrives at the house Madeline is put into a coma in a way and is thought to be dead. Her brother buries her alive and she later comes back to life and kills him for revenge. During this time the house begins to collapse into the lake and the narrator has enough time to escape death inside the falling house. My favorite quote was , "We have to put her living in the tomb!". I liked this quote because it showed the urgency and ending of the house and how it would soon come to an end.
