Describe the house in the story. How do the narrator and Usher spend their time? What happened to Usher's sister? What happened to the house? Include a quote about your favorite part.

The Narrator visits an old friend's desolate house. The friend is named Roderick Usher and he is suffering from a mental illness. The narrator and Usher spend time by talking, but eventually go mad and the narrator tries to calm Usher. Usher's sister was buried by him, but she was still alive when he buried her. The house represents where the Ushers lived and the Usher family. The house fall apart literally and figuratively. My favorite quote is: "House of Usher"--an appellation which seemed to include, in the minds of the peasantry who used it, both the family and the family mansion
